OctopusOn SEO credit terms

1. What are credits?

OctopusOn SEO credits are a usage balance loaded onto your account. In the OctopusOn SEO desktop programs (SERP Checker, SEO Keyword Research and those added later), they give access to paid data sources (for example search results, search volume and backlink data) through your OctopusOn SEO account.

Credits can only be used within OctopusOn SEO services. They cannot be transferred to another person, sold, or exchanged for cash or any other means of payment. They are not electronic money or a payment instrument.

The programs keep working for free with your own API keys, without any credits. Using credits is optional.

2. Price and use

For every request made with credits, the OctopusOn SEO service fee is added to the cost the data provider charges for that request, and the total is deducted from your balance. The current price multiplier of each source is shown in the programs and in your account.

Before a request is sent, the estimated maximum amount is reserved. When the answer arrives, the actual amount is deducted and the rest is released. Requests the provider answers with an error are not charged.

Credits are sold in Turkish lira. The price is based on the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye's foreign exchange selling rate at the time of payment plus the exchange margin shown in your account. Prices include VAT.

3. Validity

4. Limits and misuse

To keep the service secure, a monthly spending limit per device, a daily spending limit per user and request rate limits may apply.

The account may be suspended in case of:

• fraudulent payments or chargebacks;
• use that breaches the data providers' terms of use;
• use that disrupts the service.

Credits matching a charged-back payment are deducted from the balance.

Data providers may change or discontinue their services. A source may then no longer be available with credits; your remaining balance can be used with the other sources.

5. Privacy

What you do with your own keys stays on your computer. With credits, your requests pass through the OctopusOn SEO gateway only to be forwarded to the data provider. The contents of requests and answers (keywords, results) are not stored. For billing and security, only the source, endpoint type, status, duration and amount are recorded.
